Project Studies; Explaining the way of changing the chemistry of sea water, Site location & the concept development (concept statement, layers of sketching, conceptual models) of the project
Underwater Museum Plan explaining with annotations the user's experience as the user will not only see the monuments in court but also going through storytelling journey to learn about Heracleion city history from the beginning till it submerged and Frank Goddio discovered it.
In Scenario 'STEPS' where people keep doing the same things that have bad influence on climate change &causing many issues.
Changing the Chemistry of sea water
is the main issue here; as CO2 emissions increase the water acidity increase.
The project focused on the Underwater Archeology especially in
Alexandria in submerged city called HERACLEION; it is considered as part of city's identity.
Going through scenario steps will be the reason behind the disappearance of this identity; as the acid of the water will react with the limestone monuments then they will disappear.
The idea of the project is to keep those monuments safe by the concept of COURTS; creating them around the monuments in their exact place creating an underwater museum so people can have the
same experience of Heracleion city.
Thus the main aim of the project is Highlighting, preserving &raising the awareness of how important those underwater monuments are and how
Archeology is an important science to our country
through the underwater storytelling museum, Preservation center & Archeology School.
